The classic style of Bunnahabhain [boona-ha-ven] is known as the 'gentle Islay' - the island's famous peat character is here, but it runs as a thread in the background of the other flavours. Honeyed, nutty and fruity with a touch of sherried richness, Bunnahabhain is one of our most popular whiskies appealing to the enthusiast and novice alike. Of late, Bunnahabhain offers an excellent heavily-peated expression called Toiteach, a Gaelic word meaning smoky.
