The Wolfburn distillery is one of Scotland's newest distilleries, founded in 2013 in the sea-side village of Thurso, making it the most northerly distillery in Scotland. The distillery uses both un-peated and peated malt to create their traditional coastal Highland style of malt. Their first release 'Northland' has been aged in quarter casks which have previously held peaty whisky, and their latest expression 'Aurora' has a rich sherry cask influence.
