Founded in September 24th 2015, the distillery started life with just 10 people and an ambition to double this number over the next five years. Today, it now employs almost 40 permanent staff, a highly significant number on an island of fewer than 2000 inhabitants. Harris Gin includes nine carefully chosen ingredients, each lending their own individual characteristics. Sugar Kelp plays the starring role, bringing a complex, maritime edge to proceeding, picked by local diver and seaweed expert Lewis Mackenzie.
