Kilkerran 'Cask Strength' 8 years old
Bottled at natural strength, the aroma is classic Kilkerran - waxy, vanilla and malty notes (digestive biscuits), joined by green apples and citrus. There is a distinctive mineral quality to the palate, which carries golden syrup, salted peanuts and a gentle peat smoke flavour. The lingering finish is a balance of peat smoke, liquorice and briny flavours so common to the whiskies of Campbeltown. Kilkerran is a wonderfully old-fashioned dram with a timeless quality of being complex and characterful.
