Longrow is the name of the heavily peated whisky made at the Springbank distillery in Campbeltown. Surprisingly fruity up front with fresh apples, gooseberries and a hint of vanilla custard that is followed by a kippery, salty peat smoke. The peat is more dominant on the palate and becomes almost chocolatey in the finish. For an old whisky, this Longrow is very clean and has incredible depth and complexity and well worth trying if you're a fan of older Islay malts.
