Longrow '100 Proof' 57.1%
A brand new addition to the core Springbank distillery range, the Longrow '100 Proof' is made from a selection of refill ex-bourbon barrels that were given a final maturation in ex-red wine casks, as with the previous 'Red' series. A whafting peat smoke and medicinal character leads the nose with a sweet and tart reducrrant fruityness joining in. To taste, the smoke is softer, more earthy and musty, before vanilla custard, strawberries and marzipan add a rounded sweetness. Finishing with a lingering, maritime smoky heart.
