The 2nd release of the Springbank 18 for 2014 has just arrived. Sporting fancy new purple packaging, this whisky embodies the classic distillery style. Rich and creamy to start with vanilla, ripe summer fruits and marzipan before a hint of salt and smoke creeps through. Springbank's famous oily coconutty taste develops with time and is joined by a note of dark chocolate and a trace of briny peat smoke and pepper. An absolute delight of a dram from Campbeltown's most famous distillery.
